Schnitzel is a dish from the traditional Austrian cuisine. Its original recipe is prepared with veal, which is cut into very tiny slices. This meat is first passed through flour, then through an egg mixture and finally through breadcrumb. As a final step, the breaded meat is deep-fried. The recipe is generally served with lettuce and some lemon slices.

The internationalization of the Schnitzel has integrated pork and chicken breasts, adapting them many times to reduce costs.

The chicken schnitzel is internationally known and highly appreciated, especially by the youngest ones. Despite that this dish is detached from the recipe in which it was inspired, still maintains the same cooking technique.
