Pesto Sauce

The pesto sauce is undoubtedly the favorite of all children. It is the best ally when you have many children in the house and you need an easy, healthy and fast preparation recipe.

This recipe that I am introducing to you is the one that I have prepared for my children for more than 12 years and it always disappears in front of my eyes as soon as it touches the table.

You can also keep it for up to a month in the refrigerator (but, believe me, it won’t be necessary).

Ingredients

65 gr. basil
3 garlic cloves
15 gr. pine nuts
80 gr. parmigiano cheese
50 gr. pecorino cheese
120 gr. Olive oil
Salt to taste

In a blender, mix basil leaves, garlic, cheese and pine nuts. Mix.

Without stopping the blender, gradually add the olive oil, like a thread.

Blend for 2-3 minutes or until all the ingredients are mixing.

Transfer your pesto sauce to a previously sterilized jar. And that is it, our pesto sauce is ready to use with your favorite pasta!
Some important tips
Step 1

1. The Pesto Sauce is so easy to prepare and to conserve. However, since this sauce does not have any preservative, it is important to cover it with olive oil after each use.

2. To sterilize the jars, cover them with water and bring them to a boil. Let them boil for at least 10 minutes.
